Game Recap

The JV Lady Cards played their strongest defensive game of the season on Wednesday and swept the season series against Columbia with a convincing 22-12 victory. The Cardinals improved to 4-0 on the season and led from start to finish in a game where pressure was the key point in the game. Columbia rarely crossed half court when the Cardinals were able to put their full court press on with most of their scoring coming off turnovers caused by the pressure. 7 different Cardinals scored with Madissyn Valdez, Tayla Heppe, Ellexis Tracy, and Ashley Wallace all scoring 2 points each, while Lauren Verlato, KK Vanzant, and Madison Sours all added 4 points in the victory. All 14 players contributed to a smothering defensive effort that netted 19 steals in the game. The next contest for the JV Cardinals is a trip to Black River on Wednesday December 9th at 6:00 P.M..
