Senior Spotlight Josiah Ortiz

Josiah is the son of Neimaliz and Daniel Ortiz. Josiah has earned varsity letters in track, basketball and soccer while attending Brookside. He is also the 2-time (soon to be 3) County Champion in the Lorain County Special Olympics Mascot Race. Josiah plans to attend LCCC in the fall and major in Physical Therapy. Congrats

Senior Spotlight David Ocasio

David is the son of David and Isabel Ocasio. While at Brookside, David earned 4 varsity letters in Track, 4 in Wrestling and 2 in Cross Country. David plans to attend Heidelberg University, where he will study Environmental Science and plans to participate on the wrestling team Good Luck David!!

Senior Spotlight Mackenzie Mastroianni

Mackenzie is the daughter of Abbe and Nick Mastroianni. While at Brookside she has earned 4 letters in track, 4 in soccer and 1 in cheer. She was a member of the record setting 4×800 team last season as well. Mackenzie plans to attend LCCC in the fall. Best wishes and congrats Mackenzie!!

Track Senior Spotlight–Ashleigh Bublinec

Ashleigh is the daughter of LuAnn and Kevin Bublinec. While at Brookside she earned 3 varsity letters in track and 1 in cross country. Her freshman year she placed 4th in the district in the 800, qualifying her for the regional meet. She has also been on the yearbook staff for the past 3 years.

Ally Gomes is the daughter of Michael Gomes and Camille Flesch. She has 3 varsity letters in track, has run at the regional meet twice, and currently is a member of the school record 4×100 relay team. Ally is planning to finish her associates degree over the summer before leaving to join the Air Force.
