The girls basketball team continued their hot streak, winning their second game in a row and 4th in their last 5, as they defeated Brooklyn by a final of 65-26. The Cards led the whole way in this one, opening up a 17-6 lead in the first quarter, and cruised into halftime up 29-10. The squad came out and really put the clamps down defensively in the third, outscoring the Hurricanes 17-3 over the 8 minutes. The Junior Varsity played the whole fourth quarter, with several of the young players scoring their first career points! With the win the ladies move up to 8-8 on the year. The team has a big home stand coming up this week, with games against Wellington, Firelands, and Lincoln West. The scoring I this one went as follows:
